Decisions, Decisions!

Since I like disc golf so much, I have come to the conclusion that I should invest in a good disc golf bag that will last many many rounds of disc golf. I have narrowed it down to two choices. Both bags are made by Revolution Disc Golf Bags Check them out at http://www.discgolfer.com.

The first is a backpack style bag, it seems very comfortable to wear but I think it will get a bit hot and of course it's missing the very cool putter pocket (you'll see in a min)

here are some of the features:
1000D Cordura • 12-14 Discs MADE IN USA
Two main compartments
Two (2) zipper pockets
Two mesh bottle holders
Two front zipper pockets
Integrated shoulder straps
Integrated waist strap

Padded back
Side compression straps for top compartment
3/4" Padded back
NEW! RollCage Internal Frame
Now that's a very nice bag... but like I said I think it will be a bit hot/big to carry around in the summer. I can't imagine how bad I would stink after a round in the noon sun, and then going back to work.

My second option is the slightly more traditional style bag, plus the quad shock backpack straps. This has the contoured putter pocket in front and is built a bit more heavy duty that the backpack with 1650d cordura instead of 1000.

Here are some features:
1650D/1000D Cordura
12-14 Discs MADE IN USA
12-14 disc capacity
Zipper top
Nylon utility handles
Two (2) zipper pockets
Rainflap with clip closure
Front zipper pocket

Padded back
Two (2) 32 oz Insulated bottle holders
Two (2) side utility pockets
Pencil pocket
Shoulder strap
3/4" padded back
NEW! RollCage Internal Frame
Now, we're down to the final difference ... price the backpack is $145.00 and the Second bag is $120.00 + $40.00 for the dual straps.

I think I'm actually going to go for the team bag (second one) Just because it's a more specific tool... and should me much cooler in the summer. Also the insulated drink holders should work for keeping my beverages cool :)

Safari exploit gives hackers full control over iPhones and possibly PCs

Researchers at Independent Security Evaluators have used the vulnerability to take malicious control of the iPhone from rogue websites loaded with the exploit. Once in, researchers have full administrative access over the phone allowing them to listen in on room audio or snatch the SMS log, address book, call history, email passwords and more...

Man, do I love disc golf!

I just recently got a new disc golf disk... It's a FLX Surge made by Discraft check it out!

I LOVE THIS DISC! It's fairly more over-stable than I'm used to but it's so accurate and reliable. The new FLX plastic is extremely grippy wet or dry. Having only used them for about a week now and I've already had 3 or 4 of my longest drives ever! This disc makes a big difference!

Of course one of the first things I did was smack the thing into a big tree at point blank ... only to find that there is no change or effect in the disc at all. Not even a scratch. So it should last a good long time! I'm hoping this will really up my game. We'll see how it goes.

Me and My Music

Between 1997 and 2002 I was a member of several different bands, the first being Free Beer.

Free Beer consisted of 3 members: Myself, Brian Van Osbree, and Blake Stopple. We played together for about a year, recorded 1 Disc Keg Stand in a home studio, which never really saw the light of day. The highlight of our time together would probably been the 4th of july show we did at my parents place... roughly 250-300 people showed up, 2 kegs, and a complete pyro-technics show! It was freekin sweet! Unfortunately about a month later we basically got a new drummer (sorry Os).

The new band was named Impulse due to our impulsive nature (booting our drummer etc). Impulse started with 3 members: Myself, Blake Stoppel, and Chris Hackenmiller. We later added a fantastic lead guitarist, who had been friends with Blake and Chris for years, John Kershner(sp?), and finally in 2002 we added a keyboardist Megan (wtf is you last name megan? Sorry lol).

Once we brought megan on we again changed our name to Side Arm Pete I'm still not really sure why... Impulse recorded one studio album with Last Minute Records Which I will have available for download here. Side Arm Pete also recorded tons of live stuff in the Granery (which will also be available for download). I will also try to post the very rare Mr Hookup recordings as well ... Mr Hookup was the band that played after the bands were done at the Granery... Kind of a drunken barn dance type thing. If I can find the 4-track recordings I'll post them too. So on the the downloads....

All songs are in Ogg Vorbis Format. Win Amp will play them out of the box... not sure about Windows Media Player... but it should.
